At John Palin we are big on quality and sustainability. We take a keen interest in the methods employed by the suppliers and producers we work with. This attention to detail enables us to meet the demands placed on us by our customers. This ensures we fully understand the route the produce we supply takes from farm to fork.
Environment
At John Palin, we take our responsibility to the environment seriously. We operate a fleet of modern low emission refrigerated Mercedes Sprinter vehicles which will allow us to continue to deliver into new clean air zones planned for cities such as Sheffield, Derby and Birmingham.
We operate a zero to landfill policy at our distribution centre, whilst ensuring that all produce received into the warehouse covers the least miles as possible before arriving with our customers. This includes collecting produce from our suppliers after deliveries on certain routes, before bringing it back to our distribution centre.

We have worked with John Palin for the past 10 years. We have been particularly impressed with the attention to detail they place on how we produce the goods we supply to them. We maintain a very high standard at the farm, but to see this kind of commitment from a supplier is impressive.

I opened my own Greengrocer’s shop five years ago and Palins were instrumental in getting the business off the ground – providing advice where needed regarding what produce to stock and allowing me to order the right quantities to ensure my stock turned over at the right pace and was kept at optimum freshness and top quality which meant my customers returned and I have a thriving business!
I have very high standards and have generally been happy with taste, quality & freshness of produce supplied; however if ever there are any issues it has always been resolved quickly and to my satisfaction.
Palins are a great company to do business with – the staff are friendly and knowledgeable, going to a lot of trouble to source unusual and random requests that I get from my customers and keeping me informed of new season/new lines so I can be one step ahead of my competitors.
As Palins are a 24 hour operation there is always someone on hand to help – daily deliveries and last minute additions to my order means I can impress my customers with my service to them!
